R-455A is an incombustible azeotropic mixture, suitable for replacing refrigerants in new systems and widely applicable to low-temperature, medium-temperature and high-temperature applications. Its global warming potential (GWP) is very low, only 145. Moreover, its refrigeration capacity is comparable to that of R-404A, and its operating range and energy efficiency are higher than propane or air conditioning refrigerants.
